From Marietta, Georgia, Mason was crowned the state’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year after throwing for a Georgia high school record 4,560 yards and 54 touchdowns during his senior year. He committed to playing college ball at the hometown University of Georgia.
He took over as Georgia’s starting quarterback in 2014 and capitalized on the opportunity. He started all 13 games and completed 188 of 277 passes for 2,167 yards, 21 TD’s and only 4 INT’s. Undrafted, Mason signed with the Washington Redskins. He also has a stint with in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
In 2017, Mason participated in The Spring League’s inaugural season in order to get more repetitions and recent game film against elite competition.
