Deron Washington

From Raymore, MO, Washington was a 2x All-Conference selection before committing to Pittsburgh State University. The 6’1″, 215 lbs Free Safety became a force for the Gorillas, both on the field and in the classroom:

Washington’s finest season came when he recorded 81 tackles, 2 interceptions, 10 pass deflections, 1 forced fumble, en route to 2nd-team All-MIAA and 3rd-team All-Super Region Three Honors. He also represented the MIAA in the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Washington caught some eyes at NFL Pro Day, logging a 4.43 40-yard dash and putting up 23 reps of 225 bench presses, good for 1st among all defensive backs at the NFL Combine, had he been invited. Undrafted in 2017, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons.

In 2018, at 24-years old, the hard-hitting Washington will join The Spring League to prove he belongs on football’s biggest stage.
