From Lincroft, NJ, DiStefano entered New Jersey lore with his 275 yards and 4 touchdown performance in a playoff victory for Red Bank Catholic, topping off his 25 touchdown senior season. Not heavily recruited due to his size, DiStefano spent time at Milford Academy and Wagner College, before winding up at D-III Montclaire State.
DiStefano flourished for the Red Hawks during his senior season, earning D-III All-East Region and First Team All-NJAC honors. He led the NJAC in rushing at 125.7 yards per game and all-purpose yards (151.8), and was named a Team Captain for his outstanding leadership. One of his finer performances for the Red Hawks came during its season-opener against Farleigh Dickinson University, in which he finished with 305 all-purpose yards (184 rushing), just 5 yards short of setting a new school record.
Undrafted in 2017, the 5’9″, 205 lbs running back received interest from NFL scouts who believe he has the hands, speed, vision, and toughness to be the next Danny Woodhead or Rex Burkhead. In 2018, DiStefano will join The Spring League to prove to NFL scouts he can compete on football’s greatest stage.
