What is The Spring League?
The Spring League is an elite instructional league, developmental platform, and scouting event for professional football talent. The Spring League conducts its season each year during the month of April. ​In addition, The Spring League hosts a one-week Summer Showcase in July.
Where does The Spring League play?
The Spring League's 2017 session took place at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. 

The 2018 season will take place in Austin, Texas.
How can I try out for/play in The Spring League?
The Spring League was created to provide additional opportunities for players who may have been overlooked by the NFL, CFL and other professional football leagues.

In preparation for the 2018 season, The Spring League held tryout camps during the Fall for "STREET FREE AGENTS" (i.e. players who have never participated in an NFL mini camp, training camp, or been on an NFL practice squad/active roster]. Open registration for "street free agents" concluded on December 15th, 2017. 

"Street free agents"  who still wish to be considered for a roster spot in The Spring League must submit an online application, along with their stats and game film (if applicable), and pay a required non-refundable application fee of $350. 

Players with NFL experience (i.e. has participated in an NFL mini camp, training camp, or been on an NFL practice squad/active roster] can register at anytime on a first come, first served basis, until all roster spots are filled.  Players should register by January 15th, 2018 for priority consideration. The registration fee is $700. 

How much is the application fee?
Is there a deadline to submit my application?
The Spring League will continue to accept applications until all positions are filled. To be given priority consideration for the 2018 season, you should submit your application ON OR BEFORE JANUARY 15, 2018.
Who is eligible to participate in The Spring League?
An applicant must have been eligible during a previous year's NFL Draft in order to be eligible for participation in The Spring League.
Will I receive compensation if I’m accepted into The Spring League?
Each player accepted into The Spring League receives housing and meals. Additionally, players benefit from elite instruction and coaching, as well as the opportunity to be scouted by professional football clubs. 
How many teams are in The Spring League?
The 2018 season will consist of 4 teams.
How many games are in The Spring League’s season?
During the 2018 season, a total of 6 games will be played.
Is The Spring League affiliated with the NFL?
No. However, The Spring League provides all player data, including game film, roster information and statistics to all NFL member clubs. The Spring League hopes to establish an “official” relationship with the NFL in the future. ​

Note: All practices and games conducted by The Spring League are open to viewing by employees of the NFL, CFL and Arena Football League.
Are the games televised?
Yes. All games will be televised nationally via Turner Sports premium live sports streaming service.

Who are the coaches for The Spring League?
The Spring League has hired some of the best teachers and instructors in all of football. In fact, all of our head coaches, along with their respective staffs, have NFL coaching experience.
Are any of the rules in The Spring League different from the rules in the NFL?
Yes. The Spring League is committed to making the game of football safer for players at all levels. The League will utilize new technologies and experiment with existing game rules to demonstrate their effectiveness. ​
For the 2018 season, the following rule modifications will be in place:

1. Cut blocks are prohibited.
2. New Kickoff format: The Spring League utilizes a kickoff format which aims to reduce the likelihood of high impact collisions.
3. A unique overtime format will be tested. 
Can I buy tickets to The Spring League games?
Tickets for each game will be available on our official website and on our Facebook page. Tickets for The Spring League's 2018 season will be available for purchase in February.
How do I register for The Spring League?
Click on the orange "REGISTER" button in the upper-right hand corner of the website. Accepted players will receive reporting details the first week of February.
